Fishing Report July 25, 2018

Hot days, Cool night and stable water flows are bringing the terristerals out in full force!  While the Salmon Fly hatch has passed us by, there is ample supply of Stoneflies and Caddis on the water.

Caddis in the morning and evening when it slightly cooler, Golden Stones when it is hot has been the trend.  Fish have not been picky about the pattern as long as it a good drift and the fly is presented well. Those pesky Salmon smoult are still in the river system, so don’t set the hook on the first tap on the fly.  Disregard the smoult and wait for a true rise and you will be rewarded. The Cutthroat trout have seemed to be hanging in slightly faster water closer to undercut banks. Good luck out there and tight lines!
